Art in a can

Umbra's latest: biodegradable trash cans.

We know all your ideas are brilliant. But just in case some are misunderstood, at least that stillborn layout can have a fitting resting place. Umbra’s new Artala biodegradable trash cans are designed by New York-based Joshua Davis, who has developed a generative art process called Dynamic Abstraction, which “creates an infinite number of compositions each as unique as your fingerprint.” Three of these are available in can format at Umbra online. Davis’ limited edition prints are currently exhibited at the Umbra concept store in Toronto.
