The winner of the first Grange Prize for Contemporary Photography.

Winnipeg-based artist and
photographer Sarah Anne Johnson won a sweet $50,000 as the winner of the
first-ever Grange Prize for Contemporary Photography last week for her
stunning photographs of uncanny clay figures
. Johnson was one of five
photographers invited to participate in the competition – two Canadian artists
and three artists from another country, this year China.
