Originally from Northern Ontario, Adam Makarenko was one of 75 emerging photography talents from Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. showcased in this year’s Flash Forward – Emerging Photographers 2008 exhibition sponsored by the Magenta Foundation. His photo ‘Proto Bees,’ showing the little stingers in a Mordor-esque wasteland, is one of a series on the subject, on view on his personal site.
