Sea of apps

Apple apps as far as the eye can see.

Last week, Apple launched an interesting self-promotional project (via TechCrunch) at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. A large number of monitors were mounted together to display the various iPhone apps. Each time someone purchased an app, its icon would pulsate on the screen. [This is technically advertising, but we'll let it slide just this once, because it's also nice and random... -Ed.]
