Magical mystery tour

The journey is the thing.

Williamsburg, NY-based Flux Factory is back with a second season of ‘Going places, doing stuff,’ a new kind of walking tour for locals and tourists alike. The artist-led tours – in which you pay to get on a bus and end up swimming or tightrope walking or eating snails and the like – are described as “adventure as performance art,” and the content is always a mystery. The tours are entirely up to the artist and destinations are kept secret. For something similar and closer to home (and without swimming, alas) try Toronto-based artist-curated monthly lecture series Trampoline Hall.
