Because we'll always have the Biennale.

Not in Venice, darling? Miranda July is. The California-based renaissance woman and art world darling has created a series of eleven sculptures as part of the 53rd International Art Exhibition at the Venice Biennale entitled Eleven Heavy Things. The pedestals, walls, podiums and other free-standing Things are designed as a platform for people to have their photos taken while walking on, in, under and over – like the big flat slab for two people to stand on which reads, ‘We don’t know each other, we’re just hugging for the picture.’ Check out more Biennale awesomeness here.
