It's not like we treat actors like real people anyway.

Looker was a movie from the early ’80s about an evil corporation that makes TV commercials using realistic computer-generated actors. With the Partridge Family‘s Susan Dey in the lead role, it wasn’t Oscar material.  But bad Hollywood science fiction has become reality with this mind-blowing technology from LightStage (interview here), which will one day allow us to create original TV commercials on our MacTablets. Say bye-bye to location shoots in South Africa.
