Every winter Whistler/Blackcomb has its Deep Winter Photo Contest, and every year Vancouver-based Jordan Manley wins it handily. As a self-confessed action sports junkie I spend large parts of my days voraciously consuming gravity-fed media, and I’ve constantly been amazed by the ways Jordan has innovated in an already over-saturated medium.

Using dramatic angles and unconventional devices of his own invention, Jordan has found ways to tell completely unique stories that inspire the mind as well as the physical body. I find myself navigating to Jordan’s site at least once a week, and, more often than not, you can probably find me a short while afterward pedalling to the top of my favorite trailhead.
