Following up on the Cannes Lions 2009 Film Grand Prix-winning performance of its short film Carousel, which was directed by Adam Berg, Philips decided to up the ante to further promote its TV cinematic viewing experience. It enlisted the help of Ridley Scott Associates directors, who were given a common theme by Philips and tasked to create treatments for short films in the genre of their choice. Five were selected and come April you’ll be able to check out the results online. Until then, here’s some proof as to how far brand films have come over the years: the trailer to the sequel of Carousel. The project’s called ‘Parallel Lines.’
