Doritos is holding a contest in the U.K. providing people the chance to create their own Doritos spot for a shot at winning 200,000 pounds. For those lacking in directorial acumen, Doritos recruited David Shane, who sat in the director’s chair for the making of the infamous Bud Light ‘Swear Jar’ spot by DDB Chicago, to provide tips on how to make a good ad. He notes that when it comes to making commercials, there are no rules…except for a small handful of rules.
