Information Architects

The death of blog comments.

We’re moving past gluing conversation onto what is inherently a broadcast platform. Website creators extraordinaire Information Architects are pushing conversation to Twitter, because conversation is WHAT TWITTER DOES. We’ve spent nearly a decade arguing about comments and moderation, rights of the blogger and the audience, and now we can leave the conversation in the public sphere, let people own their own comments and tie it all together with a link or two.

This week’s Frandoms are by Jon Crowley, digital facilitator at OSL Marketing. Jon was given a copy of Marshall McLuhan’s Understanding Media at age 16 and his greatest regret is that he didn’t read it until he was 20. Now he blogs at Attentionindustry.com.
