Welcome to Pine Point

A Canadian photo album comes to life.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) does it again. I am in awe of so many of their projects. Pine Point is an interactive film created by the guys from Adbusters. The film is a photo album that comes to life, telling the tale of a small town and the people who lived there. The story is simple but the execution is flawless. It marries video, illustration, sound and typography. What I love so much is how Canadian it feels. The street signs are familiar. The images make you think of your home. It’s also got a low-res vibe that pulls you right into the place and time. So inspiring and digitally awesome.
