SoundAffects

Collecting the sights and sounds of New York.

SoundAffects is a project by Parsons The New School for Design in New York that collects data from a variety of sensors, each of which is assigned a musical sound and a colour, transforming it into music and visual displays. For 10 days this month, passersby can listen to the music by either plugging headphones into the installation’s wall jacks, or online. The visual display will be projected onto the installation at night, and canalso be viewed online through a live street view.
