Have Not Been The Same

A tribute to CanRock's golden years.

I have a collection of old tapes from high school: Sloan’s Smeared, The Rheostatics’ Melville, The Inbreds’ Hilario,  among others. This winter a CD tribute to the rich CanRock era (1985-1995) was released, called Have Not Been the Same – Vol. 1: Too Cool to Live, Too Smart to Die, with terrific covers by the likes of the Hidden Cameras, Great Lake Swimmers and Kevin Drew. Those songs were my “Teenland.” (Sigh, but “I’m An Adult Now.”)

This week’s Frandoms are by Liz Walker at Lowe Roche.
