If you’ve been looking for an excuse to visit Chicago, here’s a good one: on display until Sept. 30 is Jessica Stockholder’s massive art project “Color Jam.”  For this public intervention (the largest public art project in Chicago’s history), Stockholder blankets an entire intersection in bold, geometric swaths of blue, green and red using a total of 76,000 square feet of adhesive vinyl and fabric. Experiencing this project in the flesh is both shocking, disorienting and a lot of fun. Go see.

This week’s Frandoms are by John Loerchner & Laura Mendes, Labspace Studio.
