Daily drug-induced self portraits.

Washington D.C.-based artist Bryan Lewis Saunders has been drawing self-portraits every day since 1995. At some point, we’re not sure when, he decided to liven up his daily ritual by drawing himself while under the influence of various drugs, a different one for each day. The results are disturbing enough that we couldn’t pass up the chance to share them. Check out the original post on cultso.com for a broader selection of Saunders’ portraits, along with the drugs he was on while drawing them. Instead of the usual disclaimer about trying such-and-such at home, we’ll defer to Saunders himself, who claims to have suffered mild brain damage as a result of his experiments. Mind you, he hasn’t actually stopped doing them, he’s just spacing out the drug use “over greater lapses of time.”
