Party on, dudes

Pop-up ragers for a cause in Toronto.

Dudebox throws pop-up ragers with a lot of dancing and booze, but they’ve got a conscience. The guys behind Dudebox throw parties in random locations throughout Toronto, inspire people to get down and dirty, then at the end of the night, they give all the proceeds to charity. I think I’ve read it be coined “hipster fundraising.” Whatever it is, it works. They’re great parties and benefit even better causes — from SendaCow (they sent one to a village in Kenya) to Skate4Cancer. The next installment is tonight (Oct. 12) at 64 Ossington and will seek to raise funds for Manifesto, another incredible community property.

One more random plug: Movember. It’s just around the corner. Last year Canada led the world raising $42 million. We can do even better — get involved, register today at Movember.com.

This week’s Frandoms are by Kim Tarlo, ACD, Mosaic.
