Brazil-based Laus Beer and agency W3 wants drinkers to have a good time, but also be safe. With all the don’t-drink-and-drive messaging, how do they stand out? The pair decided to put the message on the last thing a drinker will see before getting into a car: the coaster. Condensation from the beer brings up the hidden writing beneath. It’s unclear if the coaster serves as a sober clock (i.e. as the coaster dries, so does the drinker), but it’s an interesting concept. One hitch: what about drinkers like us who tend to tear coasters apart?
