Let there be light

Abandoned homes get illuminated.

James Nizan likes to add light to abandoned homes. The B.C.-based artist has exhibited his work “Trace Heavens” at Gallery Jones in Vancouver and earned positive reviews in Canadian Art magazine. His MO? He drills holes in the walls and/or roof of derelict properties and create a cascade of geometric light imagery using mirrors in the darkened rooms. His work reminds us fondly of those lasers that surround the expensive, destined-to-be-stolen diamonds in the movies.
