Tulip quilt

The northern Dutch landscape in full bloom.

Anyone who has flown over the prairie provinces knows the patchwork of farmers’ fields creates the impression of a beautiful (and very giant) quilt stretching into the horizon. While the tulip fields in the Anna Paulowna municipality of the Netherlands may not convey the same Big Sky feeling, they are resplendent in a way the tan and yellow hues of western Canada will never match.
