Stitched maps

Google Maps re-interpreted as Persian rugs.

The Anthropocene series wasn’t created with the Mirrorgram app. Working with hundreds of thumbnail-sized screen grabs from Google Maps, Dublin-based artist David Thomas Smith took to Photoshop to stitch each together. The result: stunning art pieces that mimic patters found in Persian rugs.
