Empress of fashion

Meet the lady in red.

“You don’t have to be born beautiful to be wildly attractive,” said Diana Vreeland, legendary editor of Harper’s Bazaar and editor-in-chief of Vogue. Now on DVD, Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel, captures the life of one of the most influential women of the twentieth century. Vreeland kick-started the careers of models and musicians like Twiggy and Barbara Streisand by accentuating their perceived flaws. Donning bright rouge on her ears, she always made a point of standing out.
