All in the family

Awkward portraits of groups of strangers.

What’s more awkward than a family portrait? A family portrait with complete strangers. New York-based photographer Jamie Diamond found random people in public or on Craigslist to take part in her project – Constructed Family Portraits. An interesting thing happens once she starts shooting: the people begin to assume identities to fit with the picture. Let’s be honest, you probably wouldn’t guess at first glance that these people aren’t related.
