Everyday life

Making ordinary moments feel epic.

In the series “Practices of Everyday Life,” Montreal-based Navid Navab and his team transform ordinary everyday activities by accentuating them with thundering visual and audio accompaniment. In his latest piece, “Cooking,” dancer and chef Tony Chong wields foods, pans and cooking utensils. Using responsive media, the team combines a soundscape and visual art projections composed in sync with the his movements. It’s hard to put into words the effect that all of this creates, so I suggest you watch and experience for yourself this bizarre and captivating concept.

This week’s Frandoms are by Alyssa Free, copywriter at DentsuBos Montreal.
