When was the last time you practiced a craft that’s been around since the seventh century? For one Japanese grandmother, the answer would be: Jan. 1. This woman has been making intricate, handcrafted temari balls for years as New Year’s day gifts, and the size of her collection (500 at last count), not to mention the detail in each one, will blow your mind.
