Furniture flaws

Handcrafted pieces with character.

Never judge a piece of furniture by its cracks. Perhaps rather see the misunderstood knick in its legs or the misplaced coloured streak in its birch wood bones as a character flaw to be loved, not loathed. After all, it’s these flaws that bring the wood Vancouver-based designer Jeff Martin Joinery uses back to life (all of his handcrafted items are from fallen or sick trees). Unlike Ikea items that might get dinged on the way to the warehouse, these are pieces you likely won’t be returning.
