My creative partner Ian (Simpson) first introduced me to this podcast. Scriptnotes is billed as a podcast “about screenwriting and things that are interesting to screenwriters,” but much of the discussion between veteran American screenwriters John August (@johnaugust) and Craig Mazin (@clmazin) is applicable to advertising creatives. And you can’t go wrong when they spend whole episodes dissecting movies like Groundhog Day or Frozen.
