The Office Time Machine

Pick a year and watch cultural references be revealed.

Screen Shot 2014-04-24 at 6.57.48 PMIn a clever display of copyright activism, NYC director Joe Sabia has turned every cultural reference ever made on The Office into an interactive time machine. Plug in any year and the video automatically plays the scenes from the show containing cultural references from that year, decade, or era. It feels like magic, but really it just took a lot of time and Wikipedia-searching, not to mention a massive spreadsheet. Also, check out his new site, The Office Stare Machine, which is equally entertaining.

This week’s Frandoms are by Kyle Carpenter, copywriter at Toronto’s Entrinsic.
