Hunger, we say, should just can it. There’s no sense in people starving, and a group of Toronto’s architects and builders who feel the same are literally using cans to hush the suffering of those without food. The “CANstruction” of structures made out of donated canned goods took place in the wee hours of the morning today, with the image of Popeye, The Hunger Games and others made up of cans of non-perishable food cans, and placed inside the lobby of the TD Centre. The installations, made up of hundreds of cans, will continue to sit there until the end of May, when they will be donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, and hopefully help can the subject for good.
