A mere 10 years after the Wright Brothers launched our species into the air, we figured out how to militarize the technology. Dick Cheney would have been so proud. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of The Great War, the Atlantic recently did a number of incredible photo essays. Charmingly innocent and horrifying in equal measure.
