Beguiling Books & Art

The MoMA of comic and sequential art.

beguiling_storefront_photo_500 (1)I have been reading comics since I was a kid, and they still remain a guilty pleasure. When I need my pulp fix, I head straight for the Beguiling in Mirvish Village, just off Bloor St. in Toronto. Vintage comics, new releases, histories, compendiums, and just strange offbeat stuff. Weirdness abounds in every corner. And while you’re there, take a look at the original artwork on the walls – from Seth to George Herriman to Will Elder, it’s like the MoMA of comic and sequential art.

This week’s Frandoms are by Brian Sheppard, EVP and ECD at Saatchi & Saatchi Canada.
