The Sound of NASA

For you, a collection of recorded sounds from space.

Screen Shot 2015-01-16 at 8.46.17 AMNASA recently released a massive archive of space recordings from their archive to soundcloud. Previously, these links were scattered on a multitude of sites and were hard to play. There are some truly inspiring sounds here. From eerie and desolate moon landings to the sound of the first morse code received in space, you can get a little lost in it all. Follow the link on the left hand side of the page for higher-quality versions. Musicians and music makers are allowed to use the sounds as they wish too.

This week’s Frandoms are by Andrew Harris, film composer, sound designer, and creative director of Vapor Music in Vancouver.
