Shoot beauty, not war. A different take on photojournalism.
Some of the most divine images, sadly, come from war-torn countries. Photojournalists will flock to conflict areas, capturing the truth of human suffering in order to bring about change. While Kiwi photojournalist Amos Chapple has enormous respect for those brave men and women, he chose a different path to capturing the world through a camera lens, opting to focus on what makes it truly good. He says, “I believe there’s much we haven’t lost or destroyed which warrants an honest, non-commercial representation in news media.” His work focuses on the positive things we bring to this planet. We think he’s on to something.
