Mega Underground Bike Park
A limestone mine no more: welcome to a biker's own version of Disney.
Okay, so we’ve fallen enough times and bruised enough knees to know not to go mountain biking, ever again. But, looking at this gem of a bike park, we’re ready to give it one more shot (and fine, this time we’ll wear the dorky pads). The Mega Underground Bike Park is, if you haven’t already guessed it, in a cavern. To be precise, it was actually once a limestone mine and now stands miner-less, nearly 100 feet below the surface of Louisville. It’s so gigantic, that it can fit over 45 trails, jump lines, pump tracks, etc. in about 320,000 square feet of dirt surroundings. It’s the largest in the world and nothing you’ve ever written home about before. And yes, it’s calling your name.
