There’ll be no raining on this Porch Parade
The 800-block of Robson Street's new vibrant front porch display.
Art in the public realm doesn’t always need to be permanent. I adore the efforts toward a temporary transformation of the iconic 800-block of Robson Street, in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The annual competition, which invites designers to transform the space into an inviting and enjoyable pedestrian plaza for the summer season, awarded “Porch Parade” (designed by architects at Chicago-based architectural company Design With).
