What happens when a comic's main character is completely removed?
A story’s message can change drastically when a single element is changed. When that element happens to be the main character it makes for an interesting twist. That’s exactly what happens here on the Garfield minus Garfield blog, where the loveable cat is removed from the comic strip and we watch is become “a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb.”
