Breaking the taboo

A Japanese artist recreates her vagina as a kayak and makes a stand.

“I want my vagina to travel the world.” I sure as heck didn’t say that. The art world often takes liberties. And sometimes, it makes liberty. Artist Megumi Igarashi of Japan is making a stand against the law that forbids a person to distribute, sell or display in public “an obscene document, drawing or other objects” with a recreation of her own vagina as a working Kayak. This bit of girl-power news is a worthy read. Vaginas for everyone!
