Sick design, dude

Design duo melds old school with new school.

The Hulger Pappa phone was created by Montreal design company Furni in collaboration with Hulger, a London company specializing in the redesign of old phone handsets. The phone is designed to access VoIP services by connecting, via USB port, to both Mac and PC computers.

Furni founders Mike Giles and Devin Barrette focus on the redesign of ’80s products – from clocks, to tables, to lamps – the names for which are inspired by ’80s skateboarders. See the Furni website for more sick stuff. (And while you’re at it, check out that Furni logo…looks like you could slap it on your board, uh, dude.)
