One big ball

In case you can't tell, rugby's huge in New Zealand.

The 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand is quickly approaching and to promote the tournament, Tourism New Zealand‘s ‘100% Pure New Zealand’ giant rugby ball is making a stop at the Tokyo Tower in Japan at the end of October and beginning of November. The ball, which measures 25 metres long, 17 metres wide and 13 metres high is also a state-of-the-art theatre with a capacity of up to 160 people, providing a 360 degree visual display featuring a virtual tour of New Zealand. It was designed by Auckland, New Zealand-based Inside Out Productions, which obviously has a penchant for thinking big.
