The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival has a brand new category for 2010. The Film Craft Lions will be awarded based on the quality of an ad’s direction, copywriting, cinematography or editing, as well as music, sound design or animation. The level of the emotional bond and whether the craft of the work adds to the idea will also be taken under consideration. We think ‘Ancient Land’ by St. John’s-based Target is a Canadian shoe-in.
