Pop goes Ottawa

Popular culture comes to the capital.

This summer, Ottawa’s National Gallery of Canada is hosting a pop art exhibit of epic proportions. Over 250 works of art from famous names like Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons and a slew of others will be on display. “Pop Life” looks to “a number of artists who, like Warhol, have openly engaged with the cult of celebrity and unashamedly championed the idea of turning public attention into aesthetic notoriety and financial reward.” Now go get pop cultured.
