For those whose families haven’t lived in B.C. for more than a couple of generations and wonder how it all began, this print ad for Dayton Boots, created by Vancouver-based Rethink, explains it all. The heritage brand, now owned by a former Reebok executive, is looking to make history relevant to a new generation of guys with a print campaign running largely in men’s mags like Men’s Health. One way of doing that, it seems, is by pointing out that not only do Daytons make good logging boots, but they’re good for making babies too.
