To promote its N8 Pink cellphone, Nokia enlisted a group of wannabe Barbie dolls to get down and dirty with the device, as well as a pink deer. Perhaps these dolls were simply fed up with the wholesome nature of their more famous counterpart because many of their cues seem to be taken from the ‘confuse you’ style used by pop artist Lady Gaga. If Nokia’s trying to differentiate itself…well, this commercial is definitely different. Plus, the talent likely came on the cheap and didn’t question the creative vision behind the ad, which was developed by Wieden + Kennedy London. We may not know a lot about what’s going on here, but one thing we do know is there is certainly a lot of pink. Check it out here.
