Jason Young finds artistic inspiration in curling.

According to Vancouver artist Jason Young, curling is “the only sport where communication and collaboration alter the trajectory.” His performance piece 2054 will demonstrate this quintessentially Canadian concept tonight on the rooftop of New York’s Soho House, as two teams throw glowing chrome sculptures down a 50-foot rink, leaving comet tails of colour behind them. The results will be turned into 10 individual lightbox paintings. Trippy, man.
