McGill’s parametric pavilion

Architecture students push the boundaries of design.

The ContemPLAY pavilion is a steel and wood structure created by students at the McGill School of Architecture Directed Research Studio. The pavilion, located on the McGill campus, is open to the public. According to the project’s website, it demonstrates “advanced construction techniques, digital processes and theoretical approaches to architecture in the public realm.” To us it just looks like a really cool thing to sit inside and read a book on a warm spring day.
