(Un)padlocked
NPNS unlocks a women's issue.
Ni Putes Ni Sumise (Neither whores nor submissives), a Paris-based organization helping fight violence against women, and Paris-based BETC have taken to the iconic Pont des Arts in Paris to advocate for the cause. The bridge is covered in padlocks from lovers (said to bring the pair goodluck). NPNS and BETC covered the bridge in 300 padlocks – representing the number of women who succumb to violence each year – attached to QR codes, which when scanned unlocked digital testimonies from victims. Hopefully, it’ll bring women more than just good luck.
