Pet facial recognition

A digital lost-and-found for your four-legged friends.

pipphones-1Goodbye pet tags. Vancouver-based Philip Rooyakkers, co-founder of The Urban Puppy Shop, has developed a facial recognition app, Pip, that records, classifies and categorizes every feature of a pet dog or cat. Using the app, if a pet goes missing, an owner can send an alert to vet clinics, animal shelters and other Pip users in their area. Sure beats posting flyers around the block.
