It’s been a really (really) unpleasant winter. The kind of winter Canucks will likely bemoan for years, and years… and years to come. Not even the good parts of winter, like being to able skate and ski, can get you outside. That is until you see these playful, toy-like warming “huts” that currently sit along the Red River Mutual Trail in Winnipeg. The Koosh ball-like non-traditional structures were designed by Toronto’s Raw Design and have a heated core with dozens of insulated appendages (ironically, they’re pool noodles) to rest, nuzzle and stand on. Getting in must be easy…but getting out? Not so much.
