Oh, the selfie, what joys and pains you have brought to the world. The joys of smiling faces, and the pains of the shot being out of focus or of a face awkwardly cropped out. But it’s those grievances we have with the self-taken shot that French home improvement store Leroy Merlin is rooting for. Because, if all you see is the person in focus, how would it be able to show off the store’s magnificent furnishings, home renovations and improvements in the background? The spot, created by agency BETC Paris, taps into the photo fad, and lets accident-prone selfie takers be proud of what makes the shot cut.
