Alfa-Bank pays for customers to sweat.

Feel like you’re so busy making money there’s not nearly enough time for your personal fitness? Well, what if someone would pay for you to be active? Russian bank Alfa-Bank and Agency 42 are literally giving money to customers based on the steps they take. The bank created an app that can link activities from a fitness tracker like Fitbit and Runkeeper to their bank account. As people get active, money from their regular account is transferred to one with a higher interest rate (that’s not available to access any other way). So how much walking do you think you’d have to do to pay for your next trip to McDonald’s?
